Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner joined our police officers this week at a Confirmation Ceremony at Braxted Park. Due to the COVID pandemic, these officers could not have an official Passing Out parade, however it was great to see their family and friends coming together to celebrate their achievements after two years of protecting and serving the people of Essex.
Essex Police is going to become the biggest it has ever been, with 900 officers set to join the force by March 2023. Nationally, the Government is also on track to meet its pledge to recruit an extra 20,000 by March 2023, with 68% of the target already met.
