National Stalking Awareness Week

The 25th of April marked the start of National Stalking Awareness Week. The aim of the week was to raise awareness for stalking and the important role stalking advocates play in bridging the gap between the victim and the criminal justice system.

Over 1.5 million people are stalked every year, it is an awful crime that can have a huge impact on people’s lives. Our priority is to tackle offenders, protect vulnerable people and support victims targeted by stalkers.

We are committed to working with Criminal Justice System partners to promote and monitor the effective use of legislation in tackle offenders such as Stalking Protection Orders.
