Why has this been allowed to happen?
Over the last 16 years since launching the Oracle, I have never used the magazine to write my own personal views, however I feel I can’t stay silent any longer. I know my sorrow and frustration regarding Southend’s accelerating demise, is shared with many of you.

Did you know, according to a recent British Equestrian Trade Association survey, there are currently three million horse riders in the UK with 1.8 million of these riding regularly? The public rights of way network in England and Wales is continually shrinking, resulting in more and more horse riders having to ride on busy roads in order to travel between bridleways.
Crunchy topped Cumberland pie
This is a hearty family dish that is comfort food at its best. Especially on a cold winter’s night, it will please everyone. Braising, chuck, feather or blade steak is great for this slow cooked dish. Enjoy!
