It’s been a rollercoaster couple of years, but finally travel is on the up. So it’s exciting times ahead as the world starts to open up again, and we can all get back to travelling and exploring.
The travel industry has seen a huge demand for holidays, with October half term and Christmas breaks at record levels. Dubai is increasingly popular with its wealth of 5* hotels and guaranteed sunshine, and with only a 7 hour flight makes an easy, relaxed getaway. Other popular destinations include the Canaries, the Caribbean and of course magical Lapland.
Next year’s summer holidays are also getting booked up, with Greece and Croatia looking to be very popular once again. If you are looking for something a little more off the beaten track, then destinations such as Montenegro and Slovenia are stunning, and only a short flight away.
If something positive has come out of the pandemic, it’s surely that a lot of us have experienced some fantastic UK ‘stay-cations’. One of our best sellers has been to the Isle of Wight, with visitors rediscovering a love for this beautiful location, with its wide beaches, steam railways, vintage theme parks and great foodie options..
The excitement in the industry at the moment is the opening up of America, and finally travellers can head west for some great holiday options.
Although restrictions for travel have eased in the last few weeks, each country has its own travel rules for arrivals, so we always advise that you check the gov.uk website for the latest travel updates. Never travel against government advice otherwise your insurance will be invalidated, and always ensure you have at least 6 months validity on your passport before booking!
We can advise on the best destinations and also the most up to date rules and testing requirements. Booking as a package is very important, as it means that if one part of your holiday were to fail, then you will be covered for the other components. This has been a long time coming – hopes and dreams of those long lost holidays are finally going to happen!
